Santa Macy...

Not a fan of Macy Gray singing Santa Baby. She took the only sexy Christmas song and made it about as sexy as a midget version of Susan Boyle. It sounds like she's singing while smoking and taking a dump.

It's cold...

I lived 25 years of my life in the north before moving to FL, the Sunshine State.

It is cold as can be here, with wind chills at 15 when I get up to go to work. I am allowed to complain that it is cold, because I live in FL.

I post to Facebook how cold it is and have to be berated by every northerner there is that it is colder where they are. No shit! That's why you live in the north, it is to be expected. I don't complain in the summer when it is deathly hot because I expect that.

Also, I know it is cold out, is it necessary for every single person at work to make mention of it. "It sure is cold outside huh?" Oh thanks Sherlock, I hadn't noticed. I am just wearing 3 layers of clothing, a jacket, gloves and a ski mask because I think it looks slimming on me.

Jenn Sterger....

Correct me if I am wrong, but this is the same girl who got famous by showing off her huge cleavage while wearing a cowboy hat at FSU football games right?

Now she has decided to drop the lawsuit against Farve but wants the NFL to suspend him and start an NFL harassment program? Look, if Farve did send harassing messages and pictures, I certainly do not condone that, but this is the same girl who got famous by showing off her huge cleavage while wearing a cowboy hat at FSU football games right?

Do a Google image search for Jenn Sterger (probably not at work) and tell me this chick is not an attention whore. All of sudden her and her giant breasticles fall off the face of media earth and she has to sue Brett Farve? Obviously someone was tired of being out of the media spotlight. You have made your living off of being sexy and showing off your body and now you want to scream harassment?

If I walk past you and you have your tits hanging out and I say, "Hey nice shirt!" are you really going to be surprised?

If you don't want to be harassed by football jocks, maybe you don't stand on the sideline with 8 inches of cleavage ok?

The movies...

Sorry for the second blog posting in one day, but I had some stuff fresh on my mind and I am just lazy enough to not want to jot it down to save for another date.

I don't tend to go to the movie theaters much, I simply don't like people that I am not currently friends with when outside of a social atmosphere. I'll go to a bar with the opportunity of meeting a new friend, but a completely non-social event like a movie doesn't do it for me.

Do you know why I don't like people in non-social events? Because most of them are assholes.

You will notice most of my blogs will have lists. It's because I prefer lists. I don't like reading and I easily lose track during long, drawn out paragraphs.

Anyway, my movie theater list of annoyances:

1) The tickets - How necessary is it to have 2-3 separate ticket taking points during the process of seeing one movie? I purchase my ticket, then have to show it as I walk in (usually to the most homely non-social being working at the theater), and then finally some pimply faced kid who barely looks at the ticket and mutters under his breath, "Theater 3 to your left." Is this really needed? Tell you want, let me hand you money, you hand me a ticket and I go sit down. End of transaction.

2) The prices - Jesus H, could a simple time out at the movies cost anymore? Now the father of 2, a family of 4 costs anywhere between $40 - $100 to see some 1 and a half hour long shit fest that either has Samuel Jackson or Morgan Freeman in it. We took my daughter to see Tangled over the weekend and after 3 tickets, a medium popcorn and a medium drink, I about had to take out a second mortgage. And please stop trying to up sell me. I didn't choose a medium over a large because of the price, I chose it because I haven't found the need to eat 8 gallons of popcorn over the course of my lifetime, let alone in one sitting. "For a dollar more you can upgrade to a large ya fat ass." Does that mean for a dollar less I can downgrade to a small? How about that option?

3) The people - First off, you know what time the movie starts. Being there any later than 5 minutes prior to the start time (as listed on the ticket, not after previews you dolt) is completely unacceptable. It amazes me to see people walking in at 1:45 for a 1:30 movie with a group of 7 and they are so frustrated they can't find seats together. "Could you please move down one?" No, could you please get here on time? Seeing an "adult" movie is bad enough, but have you ever been to a kid's movie? "He/she's just a kid" is not an excuse for your child to act out and talk or be loud during a movie. You are an adult, act like one and take care of you child. Before the movie started we let our daughter know that we were at the movie and it was rude to talk. If she absolutely had to say anything, to whisper to us. Meanwhile she has to wonder why two a-hole 5 year olds in front of us are having a side conversation about God knows what. If your child acts up, remove them. Then see if they ever do that again.

4) The previews - I have the internet. I have for awhile now. If I want to watch a movie trailer, I can find it online in 1000 different places. There is no need for you to show me 18 of them before every film.

Anyway, you can see why we don't get out much! I'd much prefer to wait a few months and rent from Redbox for $1 and enjoy a movie from the comfort of my own home than deal with the prices and delinquents that come along with a trip to the movie theater.

The Eye Doctor

There isn't much that can be said beyond what Brian Regan has hilariously pointed out above. If you have ever been to the eye doctor, even only once, you'll laugh your ass off at this bit.

I hadn't been to the doctor in over 5 years, something I wouldn't recommend. I awoke last week and put my contacts in. By the time I got to work I wanted to rip my eye out of my head it hurt so bad. I took my contacts out and called the doctor and made an appointment. A few things about the eye doctor:

1) How is it possible that repeatedly shining bright lights in to your eyes is actually good for them? I told him the major problem I was having was that I was extremely sensitive to light. So first thing he does is shine the sun in my face.

2) Why is it necessary to have a collage of diseased eye posters spread throughout the office. Not only am I already completely uncomfortable having someone poke and prod at my eye, now I have to look at these? I want to vomit.

3) The doctor had a mirror that I had to look at, while behind me the letters displayed backwards. I saw them in the mirror correctly to try and read them. Not sure why.

4) You never tell the truth at the eye doctor, or any doctor for that matter. "Jay, how long do you usually wear your one month contacts?" I tell him rarely ever more than 5 weeks. Try 2-3 months.

They found a problem and I had an ulcer of the cornea. I was given drops which helped cleared it up. I am still in my glasses but should be back to contacts any day now.

ESPN's Back to Back Coverage....

I am so sick of ESPN putting NCAA hoops back to back and offering NO alterative to watch a game if the prior game goes over.

Right now I am missing 5 minutes (soon to be more) of Duke vs MSU (one of the most anticipated games of the season for NCAA Hoops, not just Duke and MSU fans) because Seth Greenberg is a horrible coach and didn't call a timeout and set up a play to win.

I understand not cutting off an OT game that is a potential upset and major ACC/Big Ten mathcup, but when you have about 6 ESPN stations including ESPN News, there needs to be a programming backup in these situations.

I just turned to ESPNews and Sportscenter is shoving the same episode that has aired 100 times today down our throats. I gotta watch Lebron James again? Are you kidding me? Shelf this and tune in live to the game people want to see.

Overall ESPN does a fantastic job and has wonderful coverage but this shit never seems to end. The NCAA needs to either schedule better or ESPN needs to provide alternate programming.

I swear to God if this game does to Double OT I'm going postal.

Welcome....
